I bought it as a 73rd Birthday gift to myself and to my poor family that were having to repeat everything they said. I don't have to say "what" "pardon" "I'm sorry I didn't hear you" any more! It amplifies enough that I no longer think people are mumbling. It fits perfectly. Bought this as a backup unit and so far have been very pleased. Does a far better job of filtering background noice than much more expensive units. It is small enough and fit quite well on my ear.I would recommend this as a beginner hearing aid and even without all the bells and whistles is a very effective unit.
